About Youth Model ASEAN Conference

Singapore Polytechnic’s Youth Model ASEAN Conference (YMAC) is a simulation of an ASEAN Summit Meeting which involves almost 200 students from across the 10 ASEAN Member States. YMAC was first run in 2012 with just 5 Singapore-based polytechnics and had since expanded to 5 Singapore-based polytechnics and 52 Southeast Asian Institutes of Higher Learning. Student delegates take on roles as diplomats representing one of the 10 ASEAN Member States. They conduct research and debate on current issues faced by ASEAN and the Southeast Asian region. YMAC is organised by the staff and SP Outstanding Talent programme.
