Guo Jinlong runs a small dessert shop tucked away in the basement of a building along Upper Thomson Road, operating only from Friday to Sunday. In its early years, the shop struggled to attract customers, relying heavily on social media, flyers, and word of mouth to build a following. Today, loyal customers gather outside the shop to try his latest creations like tiramisu, brownies, and cheesecakes, often chatting with him as they enjoy the treats. Outside of his business, Guo is also an educator. He teaches culinary skills and kitchen operations at SP and NTU, finding fulfilment in sharing his decades of experience with younger generations.
