To help students from disadvantaged families gain greater access to higher education, local accounting and consulting firm RSM Singapore has pledged a $4 million donation to establish a scholarship fund across nine local institutes of higher learning. The announcement was made on 25 July during a charity walk carnival organised by RSM Singapore, where a cheque presentation ceremony was held. Minister for Education Mr Desmond Lee, who oversees social service integration, attended the event as the guest of honour and witnessed the ceremony. The nine institutions that will benefit from the scholarship fund are NYP, SMU, NTU, SP, NUS, SUSS, NP, TP, and SIT.
