In view of the current COVID-19 situation, cleaning supervisors can augment their understanding of the principles of personal protective equipment and disinfection on a timely basis.

Course Objective

This course aims to provide an understanding of environmental infection control measures and management means when dealing with COVID-19 in non-healthcare premises. Participants will be introduced to the principles of personal protective equipment and disinfection in the context of COVID-19.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to: 
• Explain the types and causes of infectious diseases, particularly COVID-19
• Apply principles of personal protective equipment for COVID-19 operations
• Describe the roles of a trained buddy
• Apply principles of disinfection
