The course will equip fresh Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Spatial Design graduates with industry-specific knowledge and skillsets essential for navigating through the Interior Design industry. Transition, from as a fresh graduate into a professionally accredited Interior Designer, is also supported.

Course Objective

The course aims preparing participants for transition from school to professionals, while navigating their way through the Interior Design industry. Theoretical competencies and skills, taught in schools, will be bridged with real-world application in the workplace. Participants will also learn best Industry practices and approaches, especially for areas of Proposals, Contract Administration, and Project Management.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  1. Apply relevant Interior Design management and productivity tools, practical skills, as well as knowledge through practice-oriented training
  2. Develop pre-contract administration procedures in planning and management of projects, through exposure to Codes of Practices, Professional Practices, Productivity Concepts, and expectations in the Interior Design industry

Minimum Requirements

Polytechnic Diploma, or an ITE Technical Diploma/Technical Engineer Diploma/Work-Learn Technical Diploma in Interior Design and/or Spatial Design related discipline. Applicants, not meeting the entry requirements, may be considered for admission based on supporting evidence of competency readiness. Shortlisted applicants may have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The Polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
