Phoebe Tok Wan Qing

Before starting the course, I had low expectations due to the pandemic. I thought I wouldn't have many opportunities for hands-on events planning, but I was pleasantly surprised. Throughout the course, I had multiple chances to apply the theory I learned through various events. In Year 1, our class organized the DEPM Alumni Night together. In Year 2, my team and I planned and executed a Virtual Children's Day event for residents at Jurong Central Zone A as part of our year-long integrated project. In Year 3, I completed my internship at Club Rainbow (Singapore), where I played a significant role in organizing their annual flagship events like Ride for Rainbows and Family Retreat.

Despite the challenges and difficulties, we faced during event planning, it all felt worthwhile when I saw the participants' happy faces and the success of the events. I am truly grateful for the memories and experiences I've had during these three years at SP, and I will carry them with me as I embark on the next chapter of my life.
