Diploma in Landscape Architecture
Class of 2018
National Parks Board Gold Medal
The idea of being able to manipulate the outdoor environment and spaces that people live in has always been an intriguing topic to me. As an individual who has interest in design and technology, the decision to join the diploma in Landscape Architecture was an easy one. Ever since then, landscape architecture has not only provided me a chance at expressing my design ideas on simulated real-life projects but has also widened my perspective of the work industry.
Due to the nature of the course, sleepless nights and long working hours are part and parcel of the course which can be mentally and physically exhausting. But it is often during the most difficult times that you understand yourself better as an individual, which is the most invaluable skill that I have gained.
Looking back at the past 3 years, the experience and knowledge that I have gained were immensely invaluable and pivotal in not only gaining a better understanding of the landscape industry but most importantly in my own self-discovery.
