DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING (S53, DCPE)

Double Win for SP students at AWS Public Sector Summit

Five SP students won 1st runner up and visitor's choice prizes in AWS Cloud Technology Hackathon Finale that was held at AWS Public Sector Summit (PSS) in Marina Bay Sands. The five students (4 from EEE, one from SD) are Nikhil Raghavendra (DCPE), Bryan Tee Pak Hong (DCPE), Lim En Hui James (DCPE), Rani Dilipkumar Shiva Shankar (DEEE) and Lim Ing (DVMD, SD).

The students emerged from stiff competitions amongst finalist teams from NUS, NTU, SUTD, and Polytechnics; and clearly the SP Team is the favourite among the conference attendees at the PSS student track.

SP students’ solution focused on transcribing doctor’s medical jargon, nurse’s medical instruction/direction, categorized the data into bite-sized information where patients access through a dynamically generated QR, and to navigate the respective clinics in KK using AR.
