EEE Team Won Special Prize at 11th NAPROCK International Programming Contest

EEE team, Mean Machine, comprising year 3 DCPE students from the Engineering Academy programme, Hans Delano and Jabez Tho, won the Special Prize and $180 worth of gift cards, at the International Programming Contest (PROCON) organized by NAPROCK, Japan
in Mar 2020. The team’s winning entry was a cloud computing based system developed to simulate the aftermath of typhoon at landfall by performing rapid analysis and prediction of destruction hotspots using images. The system contains a novel
framework Generative Destructive Adversarial Networks (G-DANs) built upon a deep learning neural network model CycleGan.
