Pursuing Growth Through Training
It is important for SMEs to have more diversified revenue streams so that they are less dependent on principal for its survival. Thereafter, there can be growth for a wider range of training courses, expansion of service into consulting,
and ability to freely expand the business overseas based on its own offering.
As far as training growth is concerned, it is paramount to upskill and expand internal capabilities to design and develop competency-based training and assessment courses and improve the training administration processes. This effort is
essential to increase the value of existing certification courses.
This session will provide an overview of the process to acquire the capabilities to develop competency-based courses and the kind of courses to be launched. It will also touch on how the Partnership for Business Growth (PBG) programme
spearheaded by SMECentre@SMF could help in the transformation process to becoming a training provider.
