Applying M-S-S framework towards Automation within Manufacturing
Synopsis
HP adopts the Mindset, Sustainability and Starting Small approach for Industry 4.0 adoption. Mindset aligns employees with organisational goals of adopting advanced manufacturing (AM) tools such as Additive Manufacturing, Automation, Robotic Process Automation and Digital Transformation. Ensuring sustainability is key in any manufacturing process be it materials or waste. Real-life proof-of-concepts from HP's AM applications will also be shared to illustrate how starting small could build confidence, shift mindsets, and expand implementation efforts. Delegates will gain insights into how HP has successfully implemented automation initiatives while prioritising sustainability and fostering a culture of innovation.
Biodata
Mr Teng Ling Foong manages WEF Lighthouse factory with SMART I4.0 applications, besides key operations. He also leads Strategy Team to enhance the long-term relevance of HP Print and is the primary liaison between HP and EDB.
Ling Foong has a diverse portfolio in manufacturing, strategy and supply chain spanning over 25 years. Besides direct operations, he is established for introducing new products and driving the development and implementation of advanced manufacturing (AM) assets. He advocates adopting AM and sustainability to enhance HP business.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering) from Monash University and an MBA from Birmingham Business School.
