Food Innovation & Resource Centre (FIRC) is very fortunate to be part of Audrey’s inspiring yet challenging journey. The partnership dated back in 2017 when FIRC worked with You Tiao Man on product innovation to improve product quality and stability that could confer a better shelf life. It was then the undaunted Audrey, who spent a decade in corporate sector with no experience in F&B, took a deep plunge into the food industry and started a series of business transformation that changed her father’s you tiao hawker stall in Toa Payoh into a you tiao manufacturing and multi-chain supplier business.  Today, the company is one of Singapore’s largest supplier of frozen you tiao to many hotels, caterers, hawkers and restaurant chains. When Covid-19 hit, many F&B businesses including You Tiao Man were greatly affected. Audrey, with her sharp business acumen, pivot quickly to service the online consumer market via various e-commerce platforms and built their very own e-shop, www.youtiaoman.com. Today their products are available in FairPrice Finest supermarkets all around Singapore.
