CEMS And SMI Online Webinar “Maritime Safety In A Digital World”

The SMI Webinar on ‘Maritime Safety in a Digital World’ was jointly organised by the Singapore Maritime Institute (SMI) and the Centre of Excellence in Maritime Safety (CEMS) on 17 June 2020. At the Webinar, CEMS shared the R&D Roadmap on Human Element and Training for Safe Navigation 2030. During the Q&A session, the panel examined the adoption of immersive technologies to enhance maritime operation training, and discussed the uses of AI for human factor studies and the challenges faced in embracing digital technologies in the maritime industry.
