Harness Localisation To Unleash Innovation

June 18, 2020

The US Dairy Export Council (USDEC) has always been at the forefront of food innovation due to their strong focus in R&D and collaborations with research institutes. In a recent article titled Harness Localisation to Unleash Innovation, featured on Asia Pacific Food Industry magazine, USDEC has shared on how they are helping food manufacturers, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, to focus on the future and capitalise on the rising healthier food trend by innovative application of region-friendly dairy ingredients in food products. Food Innovation & Resource Centre (FIRC) @ Singapore Polytechnic is proud to support USDEC in such localisation efforts to develop regionally friendly prototypes that showcase multisensory experiences and bring to life new concepts that fulfil consumer’s demand for good taste and good health. The featured prototypes such as protein rich mango pudding, mooncakes and mini Asian-fusion snacks are the results of the product development works of USDEC and FIRC.
