MOTION CAPTURE STUDIO

The Motion Capture Studio allows students to capture facial and full body movements by up to eight cameras simultaneously. Recorded images are then loaded into Movimento to generate 3D tracking points for use in their 3D animation software. Equipment installed in this facility is an array of four (up to eight) Prosilica GC650 high speed cameras, capable of capturing images simultaneously at a maximum rate of 90fps, 640x480 pixel resolution. The system comprises an Intel Core2 Quad based computer which controls the eight cameras and a N16601 trigger board. The recorded images from each camera are simultaneously recorded onto eight 320GB RocketRaid 2320 controlled hard disks.
