750 resident network centres across Singapore will be intelligently transformed by 2026

On 29 September, the People’s Association (PA) unveiled several initiatives under its Community 2030 plan to encourage greater community involvement, aiming to boost volunteering and foster stronger ties between residents. One example is SP alumna Ng Bao Yi, who launched her own community project after noticing a lack of awareness about common eye issues during her optometry internships. With funding and support from the PA, Bao Yi organised free eye care sharing sessions and vision screenings for over 200 East Coast residents, helping to raise awareness and prevent future vision loss.
