Pride and glory were the two words to describe the Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA) Pre-2000 Graduates Alumni Homecoming that took place in Singapore Polytechnic (SP), The Hall on 21 November 2013.
The reunion saw more than 80 alumni who graduated before the year 2000 who came back to SP to reminisce the good times in the campus. Apart from networking to widen their opportunities in the maritime industry, the alumni participated in the lucky draw which was the highlight of the event that left the crowd with hopeful anticipation to be the top winner.
And as the saying goes, “Music is the universal language of mankind”. This was showcased through 2 SMA lecturers, Captain Savio Coutinho who was the vocalist for the night and Captain Frederick Francis who was the guitarist for the night. The 2 lecturers mesmerised the group with their enchanting music which ended the night on a perfect note.
