Over 10,000 Singapore Polytechnic students to get mentorship opportunities in next 3 years
01 Nov 2024
Over the next three years, more than 10,000 students at SP will gain improved access to mentoring opportunities through a partnership with Mentoring SG, which has launched the first school-based Youth Mentoring Hub at SP. This initiative is part of a broader national effort to expand mentoring access for youth, with plans to introduce similar hubs at other polytechnics and ITE by 2026. Mentoring SG, which has so far supported 6,000 young people with the help of 150 corporate partners and 2,500 mentors, also connects public sector mentors with polytechnic and ITE students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing guidance on both immediate post-graduation plans and long-term career goals.
