Strong female attempts maritime internship

Article featured SP Marine Engineering student, Qiu Jingrou and her pursuit for a sailing career. Jingrou wants a fulfilling career and does not want to commit to a typical office job. As a result, she did an eight-month internship stint as an Engine Cadet to gain experience for a future maritime career. She was the only female on board and was put in charge of system maintenance. Her parents were against her decision at first but eventually supported her, after seeing her passion and determination in the maritime field.
