SUTD still a draw after ending MIT partnership; student intake up 5%

Article mentioned that the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) has not suffered a drop in the number of applications, despite ending its undergraduate degree collaboration with the renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The university, which ended its education agreement with MIT last year, received just over 3,000 applications this year and took in 458 students, 5 per cent more than the 437 students it took in last year. SP graduate Lim Xin Yi, who is enrolled in the SUTD-SMU dual-degree programme in technology and management, shared that the hands-on, project-based learning was a draw. (The Straits Times, pA4)
