3 DCPE graduates & student awarded Gold Certificate at NetAcad Riders Challenge 2022

Two DCPE graduates and one DCPE student were awarded the Gold Certificate in the Awards Ceremony, on 13 Jun 22, for the APJC (Asia-Pacific, Japan & Greater China) NetAcad Riders Challenge 2022 for achieving top 5% among more than 700 participants from 18 countries in Round 2. The graduates were Lim Zi Yang and Tan Je-Deon; while the student was Ong Wei Jie (Year 3).

On top of that, Lim Zi Yang was also the Country Winner (i.e. Singapore’s Top Scorer) and went on to represent Singapore in the final rounds. He was subsequently placed 4th in the finals – an
impressive feat for Singapore given that the gap among the top scorers were very close.
NetAcad Riders Challenge is an interactive networking skills contest that unites students from across the region, and enhances classroom learning by promoting further technology education and training. Organised by Cisco, the competition accords a
platform for Networking Academy students to learn valuable networking and IT skills through a series of online exams and simulation activities using Cisco Packet Tracer. The competition is open to students who had enrolled in the Cisco Networking
Academy CCNA v7.0 Course from 1 Jan to 31 Mar 22.
All three were guided by Francis Teo and Fauziah Othman. They were from the CNS path of the Diploma in Computer Engineering Course, and they credited its comprehensive curriculum to their success.
