Tan Jing Yu William

Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Class of 2016

In 2016, William, a DEEE Silver medallist, claimed the honour of being the first EEE graduate to receive a PSC scholarship. The scholarship allowed him to pursue a double degree in engineering at SUTD and Business Management at SMU. William felt that his success demonstrated EEE’s ability to empower eager students to realise their potential.

Kuriakin Zeng

Diploma in Electronics, Computer and Communication Engineering

Class of 2009

Kuriakin held the SP record for scoring a 4.0 GPA with distinctions in all modules taken during his three years in SP. He went on to become the first SP student to be accepted and offered a full scholarship in the Ivy League Harvard University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude in Field, Computer Science.

Kang Boon Kiat Julian

Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering

Class 2019

Unlike many of his peers who did well in their GCE “O” levels and chose the JC route, Julian opted for a polytechnic education as it gave him opportunities to explore interests in engineering and a hands-on learning experience. Julian chose SP because of its state of the art facilities, the pedagogical advances it has made in the teaching of engineering and a CDIO based engineering curriculum that is built on more than 60 years’ history and experience.
