Minor

The Minor in 5G and AIoT aims to equip students with skillsets in 5G communication and Artificial Intelligence of Things.

Students are required to complete 4 elective modules including the mandatory module, Low-Code 5G & AIoT (EP0409) and at least 1 module from IoT domain and AI domain.

The Minor in Asia Readiness aims to foster a global mindset in SP students and equip them with the tools to meet the demands of new challenges in our globalised world. In this Minor, students will learn and apply skills to demonstrate intercultural empathy, appreciate multicultural differences and actively engage to bridge cultural and economic differences. 

With effect from AY2023/2024, students are required to complete 4 elective modules, and should take at least 1 elective from each domain as shown below:

The Minor in Business Management provides students with opportunities to acquire fundamental knowledge in key domains that exist in typical business organisations and cut across all sectors. 

Revised Minor Requirement (with effect from AY24/25 cohort)

• The revised minor requirement will be implemented with effect from AY24/25 cohort. Students from the AY24/25 cohort should follow this requirement if they wish to be awarded with Minor in Business Management.
• Revised Requirements: Students are required to complete 4 elective modules and should take at least 1 elective from each domain as shown below:

Prevailing Minor Requirement (valid till end of AY25)

• With the implementation of the revised certificate requirement, the prevailing requirement for the award of the minor will be phased out at the end of AY25. 
• Prevailing Requirement: Students are required to complete 4 elective modules and should take at least 1 elective from each domain as shown below: 

*Note: Students from the following courses will be excluded from the Minor: 

1. Diploma in Accountancy (SB)
2. Diploma in Banking and Finance (SB)
3. Diploma in Business Administration (SB)
4. Diploma in Human Resource with Psychology (SB)
5. Diploma in Engineering with Business (EEE)
6. Diploma in Maritime Business (SMA)

The Minor in Data & Artificial Intelligence trains students to develop deep skills to work with data and AI.

These are emerging skills needed across multiple sectors. Students are required to complete all 5 elective modules as shown below:

Students should complete the Minor in the following sequence: Block A, Block B and Block C. Modules can be read in any sequence within each block. Pre-requisite for each module can be obtained from module listing site.

Notes:

1. Students from DAAA will be excluded from this Minor.
2. SB, SMA-DMB or ABE-DFM students who have read MS1522, MS7524 or MS3522 are exempted from EP0612; they need only 4 electives to complete the Minor.
3. Students completing the Minor will have the option to obtain an AI Data Apprenticeship Programme (AIDP) certification from AI Singapore by completing a data-related internship.

The Minor in Entrepreneurship will provide SP students with opportunities to cultivate entrepreneurial mind set, behaviours, attributes and competencies that prepare them for the changing environment.

Students are required to complete 4 elective modules and should take the modules listed in A, B, C and any 1 from D as shown below: 

Note:

1. DBA students who intend to pursue a specialisation in Entrepreneurship should not also take up the Minor in Entrepreneurship.

The Minor in Sustainability aims to:

1. inculcate in students a holistic approach towards the practice of sustainability at both personal and societal levels;
2. equip students with the right tools and perspectives in order to contribute to various corporate sustainability drives in the marketplace. 

Students are required to complete 4 elective modules listed below:

1. EP0207 - INTRODUCTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
2. EP0004 - THE LIVEABLE CITY
3. EP0113 - ETHICS & SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
4. EP0212 - SUSTAINABILITY IN ACTION
