Students to get hands-on experience with real-world tech problems

TodayOnline, 13 Feb 2017 - Photo story featured first-year SP Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering student Julian Kang, as one of the students who can benefit from the agreements inked between the Government Technology Agency and eight Institutes of Higher Learning including the five polys. The agreements will allow students’ to develop solutions for real-world tech problems. Julian has already developed a prototype that can connect any device to the Internet-of-Things (IOT). Minister for Communications and Information, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, who officiated at the signing ceremony opined that Singapore must build up capabilities within the digital economy by tapping on areas like data and cyber security and IOT.
