EEE graduate awarded Medallion for Excellence at WorldSkills Competition Special Edition 2022

EEE graduate, Lee Jing Yang Gabriel AY22 DEEE graduate, was awarded the Medallion for Excellence at WorldSkills Competition Special Edition 2022, from 24 to 26 Nov 2022, held at Salzburg, Austria amid intense competition from 18 participants worldwide.
Gabriel participated in the skills area, Industrial Control. This skills area required competitors to complete a test project that involved installing, troubleshooting, programming an industrial automated electrical production systems over three gruelling days.
Gabriel was representing Singapore after having won the Gold Medal for WorldSkills Singapore 2021 in Industrial Control. The WorldSkills Singapore Competition is led by SkillsFuture Singapore, and jointly organised by the Institute of Technical Education, Nanyang Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Republic Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Temasek Polytechnic and the Ministry of Education. WorldSkills Singapore supports the national SkillsFuture movement and offers a platform for competitors to showcase their capabilities in the pursuit of skills mastery. It is one of many milestones in a lifelong journey for Singaporeans to deepen skills and to discover their passions.
