DEEE alumni awarded prestigious A*Star Graduate Scholarship
Truman Ng Yu, a DEEE alumnus, has been awarded the prestigious A*Star Graduate Scholarship to pursue quantum computing at NUS.
Truman graduated from SP with a Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, attaining a near-perfect CGPA of 3.979 out of 4.000. He has had a keen interest in nanotechnology and the interplay among high-energy physics. After graduating from
SP with a specialisation in nanotechnology and microelectronics, Truman pursued his interest through an exchange stint in physics at ETH, Zurich; before completing his undergraduate studies in engineering science at NUS. He worked for a couple
of years before embarking on internship at Osaka University and DSO National Laboratories to hone his capabilities in these areas.
Truman is presently working as a research apprentice with NUS, specialising in nanotechnology and computational engineering science tools. With this graduate scholarship, he seeks to be at the frontier of research and development and aspires to be
a researcher in theoretical condensed matter physics.
