Those bitten by the #wanderlust bug will have experienced the hassle of planning an itinerary on Google docs!

Those days of agony are over, with the development of Packdat – a website that helps you plan a trip with friends. Created by SP Diploma in Engineering with Business (DEB) student Lee Zheng De and his brother Zeth Lee, a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering graduate, Packdat smartly arranges your itinerary along with real-time pictures and video!

The inspiration stemmed from Zheng De realising that a lot of his peers were still relying on the tedious process of consolidating their trip research on Google Docs.

During his internship at StartupHax, Zheng De was assigned an experienced mentor who taught him how to design marketing collateral, plan marketing campaigns, and how to start a new business venture.

With his mentor’s help and the business knowledge from DEB course, Zheng De and Zeth identified a need in the travel industry and how they could automate the process for users. And thus, https://www.packdat.com was born!

Passpod, an Indonesian rental company and one of the latest tech startup to list at the IDX, has acquired Packdat in February 2018. At the time of acquisition, Packdat was available in over 20 cities in nine countries, including Hong Kong, South Korea and Australia, and saw over 30,000+ successful itineraries created by travellers. After the acquisition, the Packdat team worked to integrate its travel-planning features and integrated its technology into Passpod’s platform.
