COURSE AIMS | The CoC MEO Class 2 & 1 (MOTOR) Part B course will lead to the issue of CoC MEO Class 2 (MOTORSHIP), issued by the Maritime & Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore, upon successful completion of written examinations at SMA and oral examinations at MPA.

RECOGNITION | Course meets the requirements of STCW 2010 Convention of IMO.

COURSE COMMENCEMENT | The next course shall commence on 14th Oct 2024
You are first required to apply online and obtain the Letter of Eligibility (LOE) from Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) After obtaining the LOE from MPA, Please email CHAN_Su_Zhen@sp.edu.sg for registration procedure.

COURSE FEE | The total course fees is S$11,318.56 (S$10,384.00 + GST 9%)(Subject to change)

ORAL EXAMINATION & FEES | To be conducted at Shipping Division, MPA Fees: S$175/-* Singapore Dollar |
SEA SERVICE REQUIREMENTS | The sea service requirement for MEO CoC Class 2 Oral Exam is at least 12 months (after CoC Class 5) of approved sea going service on board ships of main propulsion power of more than 3,000 KW as a senior watch keeping engineer in full charge of an engineering watch.

MA3016 Internal Combustion Engines & Boilers MA3017 Auxiliary Machinery MA3018 Electro-technology & Electronics MA3019 Electrical Engineering MA3020 Control Engineering MA3021 Safe Maintenance Operation & Fault Diagnostics MA3022 Ship Construction & Naval Architecture MA3023 Maritime Law & Personnel Management
Candidates must complete following modules at Part A Level at SMA, if not exempted by MPA, Singapore
MA3024 Engineering Drawing & Design MA3025 Applied Mathematics MA3036 Applied Mechanics MA3027 Applied Heat Will be issued Certificate of Completion by PACE Academy to the successful candidate when he passed all the modules for Part B and/or Part A written examination respectively. |
VENUE | Singapore Maritime Academy |
VISA REQUIREMENTS | Candidates from countries, as per website http://app.ica.gov.sg or attached list, are advised to obtain single entry visa for Singapore. PACE will assist in obtaining student visa upon successful registration & acceptance for the course. |
BOARDING & LODGING | Accommodation is self-arranged. However, most students usually stay in budget hotels on arrival Singapore. When the course starts, they usually pool with their fellow classmates to look for rooms in the vicinity. |
MEDICAL INSURANCE | Candidates are advised to take up medical insurance form their country of domicile for their stay in Singapore. The coverage should include all medical/hospitalisation and also repatriation cost. |
VISA FOR SPOUSE AND CHILDREN | PACE will assist in visa application for candidates' spouse and children upon submission of air ticket and medical insurance for spouse & children. |
