If you are ready to experience the adventures of the great ocean and are prepared to be tested to the fullest professionally, the Singapore Polytechnic's Singapore Maritime Academy (SMA) is the place for you.
The Academy offers three full-time diploma courses in:
- Marine Engineering
- Maritime Business
- Nautical Studies
It is the Republic's only maritime training institution that offers the entire range of professional courses at Certificate of Competency levels. It also conducts all the mandatory STCW95 short courses for deck and engineer officers.
This is possible because of the enormous diversity of our teaching staff with expertise in various fields and the Academy's state-of-the-art facilities. The Academy is able to take up any challenging task in the areas of education and training, and in the process, design and provide specialist consulting services for the maritime industry. We have more than 50 professionals and academicians in the Academy, including engineers, master mariners and business professionals.
