Build for Singapore Polytechnic Open House 2023, the dome / pavilion was designed by SP FabLab team and it is created out of corrugated cardboards, neatly assembled with cable ties without any internal supporting structure. The dome design was inspired from the hexagonal design pattern found on a football and was created through 3D parametric design & modelling. This geodesic dome model showcase the capability of SP FabLab of applying digital design and fabrication in building large and stable structure through the use of sustainable materials.
