DIPLOMA IN ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (S99, DEEE)

EEE team won 2nd place at National Robotics Games

EEE team won 2nd place at National Robotics Games held from 19 Aug to 7 Sep 2024 with this year’s theme being “H2O Heroes”. The competition aimed to spur interest and innovation by offering students an opportunity to apply what they learnt in school and experience STEM hands-on through interactive and meaningful experience. In the process, students would develop skills such as problem solving, entrepreneurial dare, creative thinking and team spirit. The students participated in NRC Smorphi under Autonomous Challenge and Pilot Challenge.

NRC Smorphi was a challenge to use Smorphi transformer robots for cleaning. Cleaning robots are becoming more pervasive in both domestic and public settings and raise the productivity of cleaning professionals. One key metric defining the success of cleaning robots is its area coverage, which is a measure of the overall percentage of floor area covered by the robot while performing the cleaning tasks. The competition focused on developing and competitively validating the cleaning application onboard.

The students were guided by Yusuf Pranggonoh. Details of the students are as follows:
