Engineers make a tremendous impact on people's daily lives, affecting nearly everything we see, hear, touch, wear and eat. So, if you're ready to challenge yourself and quench your thirst for invention, the School of Mechanical & Aeronautical Engineering (MAE) is just the place for you!

Here at MAE, students get access to workshops equipped with the latest tools and facilities, and some will even get to work on a fully functional A4SU super Skyhawk fighter plane! All these ensure that our students enjoy an enriching and holistic education.

Studies aside, MAE is also actively involved in developing various rehabilitative devices for aftercare of the injured, disabled and aged sick , as well as sophisticated machines for the manufacturing industry, providing students many opportunities to help develop new and innovative products and challenge their creative limits.

MAE brings out the best in students and nurtures their potential to do their best in their fields. MAE students have done Singapore Polytechnic proud through their many achievements, both in the local and international arenas.

Our students have also won numerous prestigious scholarships, including the Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship to Encourage Upgrading, Public Service Commission, Defence Science and Technology Agency, Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore Global Merit scholarships.
