The Ideal Applicant
The applicant should be passionate about engineering but is unsure what specific engineering field to go for. He/she should be prepared to specialise in a specific course in either Electrical & Electronics or Mechanical track towards the end of Semester
1 of Year 1.
Selection Process - Interview
Applicant will present their portfolio and be interviewed by a panel of lecturers. Applicant will be assessed based on his/her aptitude, disposition and passion/interest.
During the interview, the following questions could be asked:
- Why do you apply for Common Engineering Programme rather than specific diploma course in engineering?
- What do you enjoy doing?
- What type of job would you pursue after graduation?
Applicant’s portfolio should include, but not limited, to the following:
- Engineering related CCAs
- Relevant achievements in engineering related competitions
- Attended engineering-related courses/workshops
