Development of Building Information Model (MEP) for Aerohub Building

Working with SP Estates, the aim of this project is to use 3D scanning technology to capture the point cloud data of a building and use it to create a detailed mechanical, electrical and plumping (MEP) model of these systems in Autodesk Revit.

The objectives are to demonstrate the feasibility and benefits of using 3D scanning in the workflow process of MEP modelling of an existing space. The methodology involves scanning the building space, processing the point cloud data, importing it to Revit, and creating the MEP model with inbuilt and custom families. The expected outcomes are a high-quality point cloud and an accurate MEP model of the physical site which can be shared with contractors and stakeholders.
