Course Objective

Adobe After Effects Fundamentals is a short course to creating motion graphics using Adobe After Effects. The course orientates participants to the workspace and importation process of different types of graphics including integration with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. It touches on basic and advanced key frame animation, layer blend modes and creating basic animated graphics for video with integration with Adobe Premiere Pro.

This course aims to equip participants with the necessary fundamental 2D animation skills to take on entry level motion graphics roles. By the end of the course, participants should be able to turn approved static designs such as style frames or graphic assets and turn them into animation.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Manage Media in Adobe After Effects
2. Perform key frame animation in After Effects
3. Composite graphics
4. Apply simple motion tracking
5. Create background replacement using Chroma key
6. Export an animation into video
