By the end of the course, learners will be able to:

1. Describe BIM processes and its benefits.
2. Apply BIM Architecture / Structural Modelling skills and technical knowledge to start and support a project using BIM.

Course Objective

This course aims to provide trainees with a general knowledge of BIM work flow, basic modelling skills and submission processes so as to equip them with basic skills necessary for BIM adoption.

There will be lectures and lab hands-on practical sessions for this course.

Course Outline

Topics

1. Introduction to BIM and workflow, BIM tool / user interface
2. Conceptual Design and Visualisation / Solar studies
3. Architectural  / Structural basic modelling
4. Creating custom templates
5. Lab Practical and hands-on assessment

Minimum Requirements

The participant shall be a graduate of a relevant Architectural, Landscape Architectural, Civil, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or related diploma, with prior CAD software knowledge, from any of the ITE, or Polytechnics in Singapore.

Applicants with other equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Certification / Accreditation


• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
