Course Objective

This course aims to equip participants with the skills to craft compelling narratives using effective data storytelling techniques.

Participants will generate data visualisations, and apply narrative elements and persuasive delivery techniques to influence others or shape their perspectives. Upon completion of this course, participants should demonstrate the competency in using persuasive communication to convince stakeholders intellectually and effectively to call them into action.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

1. Examine the different pre-attentive features and visualizations of Factor or Anomaly data stories
2. Consolidate findings from the combined data and visualizations to form or support a focal point of the story
3. Deliver a persuasive data story

Minimum Requirements

Basic English (written and spoken) proficiency

A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
