Digital Twins for Facilities Management

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a digital technology used in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industries. BIM technology is used to build Digital Twin projects in the AEC industry.

The Digital Twin uses sensors to gather information about the Physical Twin in the real world and then uses that information to create a digital replica of the object on the screen.

The Digital Twin is a digital replica of each building’s facility system and infrastructure processes (eg. the Physical Twin). It serves as an intelligent interface to the Physical Twin for smart operations and monitoring various operational parameters and maintenance planning.
