The course will cover commonly used Industrial Robots, their applications, Robot safety, and basic Robot programming methods

Course Objective

The objective of the course is to equip participants with fundamental knowledge on Industrial Robots. Participants will be aware of benefits of using robots, able to perform basic Robot programming, as well as select suitable Robots and associated components for different applications.

Course Outline

• Introduction to Robotics which include Structures and Benefits of Industrial Robots, and Relevant Technical Terms
• Common/Typical Robot Applications such as Welding, Painting, as well as Pick-and-Place
• Robot System Specifications and Requirements for Different Applications
• Robot Programming

Minimum Requirements

GCE O Level or equivalent / Basic computer literacy

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the examination and meet at least 75% attendance rate

Participants wishing to understand Industrial Robots in general. This includes end-users without any Engineering background, decision-makers looking into adopting Robotics technology and even participants only wanting to increase their general knowledge.
