The SS668 consolidates a number of standards and technical references that were being reviewed. Hence, the adoption of the newly launched SS668 series is important in the certification of food manufacturers/suppliers to standards and the maintenance of cold chain management of chilled and frozen foods.

Course Objective

The course equips participants with the general requirements of cold chain management.

They will be familiarised with the major links in the cold chain management starting from the production at the farm, processing, packaging, storage, transportation and retail. Ultimately, participating company will be ready for inspection and certification.

The SS668 consolidates a number of standards and technical references that were being reviewed. Hence, the adoption of the newly launched SS668 series is important in the certification of food manufacturers/suppliers to standards and the maintenance of cold chain management of chilled and frozen foods.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to: 

1. Compare the current practices and implementations with the requirements of cold chain management stipulated in SS668
2. Apply the certifiable clauses in SS668 and familiarise with the certification process

7. Provisions for audit and certification

Minimum Requirements

  1. Employee with a diploma or equivalent academy qualification
  2. Employee with a minimum of 1 year work experience in a food company who may be responsible for cold chain control.
  3. Employee who work in a logistic company or storage warehouse that handle chilled and/or frozen food products.

A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate


• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
