Attend this Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) accredited short course, developed by Singapore Polytechnic in collaboration with Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP), to identify and implement suitable Flexible Work Arrangements (FWAs) that meet organisational needs. Participants will learn to handle requests in compliance with the new Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangements Requests (TG-FWAR).  

Course Objective

Attend this Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) accredited short course, developed by Singapore Polytechnic in collaboration with Tripartite Alliance for Fair and Progressive Employment Practices (TAFEP), to identify and implement suitable Flexible Work Arrangements (FWAs) that meet organisational needs. Participants will learn to handle requests in compliance with the new Tripartite Guidelines on Flexible Work Arrangement Requests (TG-FWAR).

Course Outline

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:  

  1. Implement Flexible Work Policies (by using GAP analysis to identify gaps between the current situation and strategic goals and identify suitable FWA implementation strategies and policies 

  1. Optimise Ways of Working by using Design Thinking methodology to design FWA processes from an employee centric lens while achieving business strategic goals 

  1. Develop a plan based on Flexi Employee-Centric Metrics to assess the FWA implementation and employees’ adoption of FWA through the collection of various data points and the evaluation of the said data 

  1. Manage the process of how the FWA implementation is communicated to employees and managing the expectations of employees who make ad-hoc FWA requests 

Topics to be covered

- Introduction to GAP analysis and FWA implementation strategies and policies. 

- Application of GAP analysis and FWA implementation strategies and policies  

- Introduction to Design Thinking methodology, employee centric FWA processes and TGFWAR requirements. 

- Development of FWA implementation plan  

- Introduction to methods to assess the effectiveness of FWA implementation and employee adoption through data points. 

- Implementation of feedback loop to establish data points and evaluating this data for the participant’s company. 

- Introduction to change management and how FWA implementation may be communicated to employees and to manage expectations. 

- Roleplay practice of using soft-skills to manage the way FWA implementation may be communicated to employees and to manage expectations.
