Course Objective

According to the recent Annual Survey on Infocomm Media Manpower sector, IT Development accounted for more than half (51%) of the total demand for Infocomm professionals, with software development job roles being the most in demand. Enterprises have projected the demand for IT Development roles to grow by 27,400 in the next three years.

This course aims to introduce learners to the principles of web design and front-end development in preparation for their journey into publishing content on the world wide web. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped with a practical understanding of information hierarchy and user interface design, which escalates into the planning and production of a multi-page web project.

Course Outline

DAY 1:
- Functions of web languages and elements
- Process of web hosting
- Design for user and screen conventions
- HTML: Organization of page content
- Application of typography for web

DAY 2:
- CSS: Box model
- CSS: Float
- CSS: Position

DAY 3:
- CSS: Background
- Compression of image formats for web

Minimum Requirements

Learners should have a background in graphic design and be proficient in Adobe Photoshop.

Certification / Accreditation

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

Suitable for

Learners with background in traditional graphic design (print) who would like to acquire web knowledge in HTML/CSS for the digital space.
