Human Resource (HR) professionals require displaying sound discretion and judgement in offering strategic advice helping their organisations smoothly navigate the rapidly changing and complex Business landscape. Increasingly, professionals' ways of working, (supporting employees and managing other work-related situations) reflects their competencies as strategic business partners driving Human Capital Development.

Hence, this programme aligns with the national HR certification framework identifying four Mindsets and Behaviours to future-ready HR professionals. They are Displaying Business and Financial Acumen, Demonstrating Change Leadership, Adopting a Future Orientation, and Upholding Professional Conduct. These topics are incorporated as part of the Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) Certification.

Course Objective

The 2-day workshop is an Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) accredited course that allows participants to understand the Mindsets and Behaviours, the IHRP Certification covers. The facilitated case study discussions and interactive peer dialogue will help participants to further hone their capabilities in applying the Mindsets and Behaviours to address situational judgement scenarios faced in the HR role.

Course Outline

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
  1. Understand the IHRP BoC 
  2. Display HR Mindsets and Behaviours that manifest in the way practitioners think and behave in approaching their work, dealing with people and other work-related situations 
  3. Perform required Functional Competencies to successfully deliver their related roles 
  4. Build Foundational Competencies underpinning Functional Competencies and serve as core enablers supporting functional activities

Minimum Requirements

For greater appreciation of this course, participants must meet the following criteria:

• At least two (2) years of relevant HR-related work experience OR
• Familiar with delivery of HR services and HR Operations

• Certificate of Attendance (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Attendance will be awarded to participants who meet at least 75% attendance rate

• Certificate of Completion (electronic Certificate will be issued)
A Certificate of Completion will be awarded to participants who pass the assessment and meet at least 75% attendance rate
