Using computer simulations, students investigate thermal insulation of building models.
Experiments are carried out by students to study thermal insulation properties of building materials.
This project studies how certain building materials (especially autoclaved aerated lightweight concrete) and thermal insulation methods and/or materials can contribute to improving the energy efficiency of buildings by achieving a high-performance building envelope. It also considers the degree of improvement as a result of the usage of such materials. This research is in line with Singapore's key strategy of reducing carbon emissions across various sectors including the building sector.
