Blue Roof in Stormwater Management

Blue roofs are used to detain rooftop runoff at source and reduce the rate of runoff from rooftops during rainfall events. A blue roof may be used as a standalone detention method or as part of a treatment train that includes other low impact developments such as bioretention, infiltration or green roofs to enhance function and improve performance.
