Experimental Study of RC Beams made with Plastic Powders
In this study, RC beams made with partial replacement of natural sands by plastic powders are cast and tested for exploration of their flexural capacities such bending moment, shear force and deflection. The study done by previous FYP groups found
that PS plastic powder had the closest strength of a C40 grade concrete if the replacement of natural sands is not more than 15%. Four beams with 0%, 5%, 10% and 15% replacement of natural sands by PS plastic powders were cast and tested. Data
was collected and analyzed and some interesting findings were obtained from the study.
