DO NOT CALL (DNC) PROVISIONS IN THE PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION ACT 2012

Students should not use the name of Singapore Polytechnic (SP) to send out marketing messages via SMS, Fax or Voice to Singapore telephone numbers including mobile, fixed-line, residential and business numbers, registered with the DNC Registry. This would include making references to ‘Singapore Polytechnic’, ‘SP’, SP logo or other mentions of SP in these marketing messages that are sent via SMS, Fax or Voice for their Final Year Projects (FYP), while working for their Internship Companies, or while undertaking any other programmes or attachments.

Students would be personally liable to pay fines as well as other penalties if found guilty of such offences. Please refer to Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) Singapore for more information on Do Not Call (DNC) provisions.
