The Anti-Scam Challenge Shield is an annual event organised by the Queenstown Neighbourhood Police Centre since 2016. It aims to promote joint-community efforts with the grassroot members and spread scam prevention messages to the residents.
The highlight for this year’s event includes the “Train The Trainer” programme and the Anti-Scam Battleground game. Through the programme, a video montage showcased the grassroots efforts in promoting scam awareness within the community. Additionally, the Anti-Scam Battleground game helped to reiterate the different scam prevention messages and forge a stronger bond between the residents. Thereafter, a talk was given by Guest Speaker, Assistant Superintendent Simon Lam from the Anti-Scam Center. The event then ended off with a Prize Presentation ceremony and a Photo Taking session to commemorate the event.
Over a span of 5 months, our team assisted SPF in the planning and execution of the event. We conducted research on different anti-scam prevention messages to better conceptualise the content of the games. With that, we developed over 9 unique games and a hand drawn battleground map tailored to engage and bring forth the message of the event. Moreover, we curated the highly anticipated video montage, the eye-catching event poster and managed the technical aspects of Zoom.
We concluded our event well with smiles on the residents’ faces while ensuring that the necessary Anti-Scam prevention messages were put across successfully.
