Yio Chu Kang Xmas Virtual Amazing Race 2021

Yio Chu Kang Xmas Virtual Amazing Race was held on 18 December 2021 and was specially curated at the request of the YCK Yuth Network. This was organised to replace the physical YCK Christmas Party traditionally held annually for needy children in Yio Chu Kang.

This event was a 2 hour long online amazing race for 60 participants using the Zoom platform. Facilitated by SP volunteers, participants were divided into 2 breakout rooms and played 4 games to win prizes. Door gifts and present were also distributed to the children on the day of the event.

The team was responsible for proposing the event theme, programme, prizes, virtual games and door gifts. They designed event collaterals including all marketing materials. They also recruited, briefed and trained volunteers and conducted event rehearsals. In the end, they ensured the event ran smoothly.

This collaboration with the YCK Youth Network provided the team with an opportunity to apply the hard and soft skills that cannot be taught in class. The experience was both priceless and meaning ful to the team as they got to help many underprivileged children.
