This micro-credential in Design Work for Future Workplace is
tailored for Human Resource (HR) professionals who are keen to enhance their
skill set and remain competitive in an ever-evolving industry. It equips HR
professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to shape the future of
workspaces that are not only adaptable to changing technologies and work
patterns but also foster employee well-being and productivity.
This micro-credential is a collaborative offering by Singapore
Polytechnic, School of Business in partnership with the Institute for Human
Resource Professionals (IHRP). This program empowers HR professionals with the
knowledge and skills to implement practical strategies to navigate the changing
dynamics of work and organisations. By completing this micro-credential,
learners also have the exclusive opportunity to apply for an IHRP Skills Badge,
further validating their competency and professional growth.
This micro-credential is a 5-week part-time course with lessons
to be conducted in a blended learning mode, including face-to-face lessons,
synchronised online lessons, self-directed e-Learning, and face-to-face
assessments.
This course is designed to provide participants with the working knowledge and skills to apply workplace design principles, analyse potential opportunities for digitalisation, implement practical strategies to navigate the changing dynamics of work and organisations, and re-design workspaces and jobs that are adaptable, employee-centric, and aligned with the demands of the future workforce and desired organisational culture. Participants will be able to achieve this through real workplace design case studies and assessment project.
By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:
Describe the principles and significance of re-designing work for the future workplace.
Identify ways to utilise Skills Frameworks in HR programmes and activities.
Apply design thinking methodologies to identify issues in the current structures, systems and processes. Designing an Inclusive and Technology-Driven Workplace.
Analyse potential opportunities for digitalisation to be introduced within the organisation.
Propose improvements to the physical work environment that will support the desired organisational culture.
Develop plans to implement workforce planning solutions.
